The 10th Specialized Congress and the 4th International Congress on Infection Control and Sterilization, Medical Equipment, and Materials were held on January 15 and 16, 2023, at Razi Conference Hall from 8 AM to 5 PM. Approximately 54 active medical equipment companies participated in this congress, which attracted around 3,000 visitors.

On January 15 and 16, 2023, due to cold weather, ongoing gas shortages in some cities, and the need to implement necessary measures to reduce gas consumption, as well as the closure of schools and offices, there was a possibility that the 10th Infection Control Congress might be canceled. However, thanks to the foresight of the organizers and the management of Razi Conference Hall, the congress was successfully held, though these challenges led to a reduction in the number of visitors.

Abadis Med, a company active in the field of hospital infection control, also participated in this congress. The Abadis Med booth attracted significant attention from many infection control officials, hospital health and environment experts, and other healthcare professionals.

Additionally, on Tuesday, January 16, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Abadis Med held an educational workshop titled “Improving the Environmental Impact of Hospital Infectious Waste Using Disposable Suction Liner Bags,” which was attended by 50 participants. The workshop discussed and compared permanent tanks and disposable suction bags in terms of environmental impact, infection control, costs, and other features.

On 16th January, a scientific paper titled “Improving the Environmental Impact of Hospital Infectious Waste Using Disposable Suction Liner Bags” was presented by Ms. Niloufar Sharafi, the expert of the Research and Development Unit at Abadis Med.

In the final hours of the Infection Control Congress, a raffle by Abadis Med was held in the main hall, and 10 visitors won prizes.
