Dr. Valiollah Mehrabi once said, “The one who works with their hands is a creator, the one who works with their mind is a scientist, and the one who works with their heart is an artist. A surgeon is someone who uses their hands, mind, and heart to help humanity.”

Dr. Valiollah Mehrabi was born in Iran in 1937. Dr. Mehrabi embarked on his journey in medicine with a dream of studying at Tehran University’s Medical School. Although his dream was initially deferred, he pursued his medical education in Istanbul, Turkey. Before boarding the bus to Turkey, he made a promise to himself in front of the gates of Tehran University: if he couldn’t enter as a student today, one day he would return as a professor. Dr. Mehrabi completed his medical studies in Turkey and furthered his expertise in Germany. There, he studied under some of the most renowned surgeons of the time at St. Johannes Hospital in Bonn, specializing in general surgery and anesthesia. After 34 months, he continued his education in traumatology at Frankfurt University.
